Jacquelyn Gargano donated our Opportunity drawing prize today, a $50 gift card to Lure.
Jerry Dannenberg introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. Jerry Dannenberg also gave a craft talk.
The District has asked the three Ventura Clubs to host an Exchange Student next year. We need a volunteer to host the incoming exchange student for 2 - 3 months. The host family does not have to be a Rotarian family.
Community Service – Foodshare Tuesday from 1-3. Link is on the website and The Breeze. Also the Walk for Kids in March.
Tim Hughes spoke about the Girl Scout Food Wine and Beer Festival. We need to get sponsors for the event. Proceeds will benefit the Monarch Butterfly breeding program at Rancho Arnaz.
Joe Strohman reported that Jerry Dannenberg will be helping with the 4 Way Test Essay contest and Derek Eidson will be helping with the Nursing Scholarships.
Carin Kally spoke about her weekend at PETS. Very informative and inspiring.
Carin Kally presented Dawn Knowles with a Rotary PEN pin. Pun intended! Carin also invited our newer members to visit our club website to see what we have done in the past.
Carin wished Ashley Pope a happy birthday!!!
Ashley Pope reported that RYLA is going well. Ashley also let us know that Interact is going well at Buena, with about 25 students attending every meeting. Interact is opening a closet and needs donations. You can find a list of wish items on the website, please donate if you can. Ashley donated $100 to buy supplies. We had members donate a total of $900.00 to buy supplies for the closet.
