Dear Rotarians and Friends,

It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces at the social last week.  Thank you to Margarida for making all the arrangements.  I arrived straight from the airport after a week in Seattle and Portland.  Always good to get back to Ventura and the ocean breeze.

** Our program this week is Eric Snyder, a recently retired building inspector, who will speak to us about  building codes and ADUs.  So if you have been thinking of doing an addition or transforming an area into an Accessory Dwelling Unit, or just want to know about the latest in building codes, you will get a good overview on Thursday.  Take this opportunity to bring a friend or acquaintance who would be interested in hearing what Eric has to say.

(**Note:  Our previously scheduled speaker, Dr. Castro from VUSD has had to reschedule for a time TBD.)

Calendar of coming programs and events:

July 27 — Eric Snyder,  Building Codes and ADUs
August 3 — Mack Douglass, VPD, Emergency Preparedness
August 8  — Board Meeting, 5:30, Poinsettia Pavilion
August 10 — Glenda Mahon, CPR and AEDs, how to save a life
August 17 — Social : Taste of Ventura,  Ventura History Museum
August 24 — Beth Baumer, Neuro Boxing Fight Camp
August 31 — Sarah Abrams, Love Ventura
September 7 — Ventura County Supervisor Matt LaVere

And keep your calendars open for the End of Summer Beach Bash September 23
Also, District Governor Marta Brown will visit us on September 28th.

See you on Thursday.
