Dear Rotarians and Friends,
Poinsettia Sales 2023 are on!  Great for business and home decor, gifts to friends and neighbors.  Always appreciated.  We will again donate plants to Cypress Place residents along with handwritten greeting cards.
Last week Past District Governor Wade Nomura inspired us with a program on the RI Foundation and the far reaching effect of Global grants.  So many ways to get involved in creating hope in the world. Very proud that our club has the distinction of  Every Rotarian Every Year contributing at least $100 to The Rotary Foundation (part of our club dues each month).
We also had the honor of having Wade award Paul Harris Fellows to: Margarida Eidson, Sam Marsh, Kathy McGee, Nancy D'Attilio, Judy Hoag, and Charles Ferguson.  Congratulations and thank you all for your dedication to Rotary!
This week we will hear about the Chayah Orphanage and School in Uganda.  Doing good halfway around the world.
Thank you to all who contributed for flowers to be sent in the name of Rotary Club Ventura East to the memorial for Rafael Canton. Rich Stewart and Harriet Clune took care of ordering a gorgeous spray in Rotary colors.  And thank you to those who attended the celebration of a life well lived.
