Thank you..thank..you thank you! This year has flown by and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you that have participated in our club. I want to share a little excerpt from my speech during the stepdown.
This year, our mighty Rotary Club proved that impact isn’t measured by size. We proudly awarded $150,000 in scholarships to high school seniors, college students, nursing students and middle school students—we’re investing in the future one bright mind at a time.
Our reach extended globally as we supported The Chaya House in Uganda, and children like Pius, Otis and Daisy, helping to create brighter tomorrows. Closer to home, we donated and raised funds for the Ronald McDonald House, YMCA, Rubicon Theater, Autism Society and the City Center, showing up with heart and purpose.
Our hands got busy with community service projects, partnering with Love Ventura, the Salvation Army and more to give back to those in need. November and December brought a group effort with Poinsettia Sales and then we celebrated the holidays together at Bill and Kim Gray’s home. In March we had Shamrocks and Shenanigans at our St. Patrick’s Day party with music, dancing and great food and brew. Along the way, we shared plenty of laughs, fellowship, and unforgettable moments. Club members helped plan fun and informative field trips, meetings and club socials.
Together, we made a difference—one act of service at a time. Here's to another year of doing good in the world!
