Sharon Daly led us in the Flag Salute.
 
Our Inspirational Message was delivered by Amber Landis-Stover.
 
Guests and visiting Rotarians: Guest of Rich Stewart was Sher Heard. Guest of Husam Hishmeh was Rick Pazen.
 
Rick Pazen told us that he was going to be shooting in a clay pigeon tournament and that he was going to make a donation to the Leukemia Society in memory of his father, Bob Pazen, and invited club members to join him in making a donation.
 
President Harriet read a letter from Bill and Pam Hicks who are making a $200 donation to the RCVE Foundation in memory of Bob Pazen and John Masterson.
 
President Harriet thanked our greeter Jordan Eller and Margarida Eidson for taking attendance.
 
The Opportunity Drawing was a $50 Vica Gift Card and a Journal of Ventura County History.
 
Bill Klope gave our joke of the day and John Borneman led us in our song of the day.
 
President Harriet let us know that today was International Women's Day and had some trivia questions about Women's Day.
 
Announcments:
Todd placed a hand out on all the tables about changes in Social Security.
 
Jeff Hata passed around the sign up sheet for a cruise in November and spoke about the District Assembly in Oxnard. Also, the Clubs Board Retreat will be on May 19th from 10:00 - 1:00 followed by a club social from 1:00 - 4:00.
 
Joe Strohman asked for volunteers for Mock Interviews. The 4 Way Test essay entries are in and ready to be reviewed. We are in the planning stages for Job Shadow.
 
Joe Strohman also announced that we had found 3 families to give to monies the Foundation had been given.
 
Bruce McGee spoke about the quilt give away being conducted by Georganna Hawley's (Swan) Quilt Guild this afternoon.
 
President Harriet asked Melody O'Leary-Namikas to speak about the clean up at the Cross a few weeks ago.
 
Sher Heard spoke about a book she read about peace. Something we should look into as a potential Peace Club.
 
President Harriet spoke about our tree planting project on Saturday. It will happen rain or shine! Information is on your tables and has been emailed.
 
President Harriet thanked Amber Stevens for getting our new "Rotarinan at Work" tshirts made.
 
Ojai Wine Festival is coming in June, discounted tickets are available now.
 
Our speaker next week is a Rotarian from Carpinteria who climbed Mount Kilimanajaro.
 
Midge Stork conducted the raffle and our lucky winner of both the Visa gift card and the book was Sher Heard!
