President Jeff started our meeting by giving our Inspirational Message.
President's Announcements:
- Our program next week will be "Covid-19 Impacts on Non-Profits", Sharon Daly from Mossy Foot and Emily Barany from Visionality will be speaking.
- The following week we will hear from Stembassadors. A group of high school students who are making 3D printed faceshields for first responders.
- RYLA has been canceled for this year. The board made a decision to have RYLA hold our fees for this year and apply them to next year.
- We have $2818 in District Matching Grants available for next year. We will be applying for a grant to support YMCA Operation Ventura program in round 1 and a grant to be determined for Mossy Foot in round 2.
- The club has asked our Foundation for some funds to help support some of our non-profits.
Avenues of Service:
- Amber Stevens reported on The Walk for Kids. It went well despite the Shelter in Place orders. We hit our club goal of $1,000 and we still have some member donations coming in. Overall we hit $52,734 with a goal of $150,000.
- Joe Strohman reported that the Ron Hertel 4Way Test Essay contest has been completed and the students have been notified.
